There is tremendous excitement in the office arising from two new Global initiatives. A long time Envision Associate, Eric Deros, will be opening a new branch office in Shanghai this October as we partner with two Chinese companies, Etna (custom furniture) and Hua Yu, (builders and contractors) to bring Envision's experience and design expertise to bear on new Chinese Retail environments. The enormous emerging Chinese middle class represents an exciting opportunity for large-scale retail. Our first collaboration is already on the boards and we are looking at a significant range of projects. We arehave also begun negotiating an affiliation with an Indian firm, to provide design services and consultation for a new food mall in Calcutta. We see this as an important first step and we anticipate opening a branch office In Calcutta in the months to come. |
